Klim Carlsbad - SE QueenslandBy: Duncan Bennett on 27 November 2020Purchased Carlsbad jacket and pants for all year riding in a fairly tough location for motorcycle clothing - SE QLD, because it generally rains when it is hot and humid, except for July 2020 when it was cold and wet. Changed over from BMW GS Dry suit simply because most of the important pockets in that weren't waterproof. We do long distance adventure riding, including dirt and a bit of technical but nothing insane. First trip in winter it poured relentlessly, stayed completely dry. Shell is quite thin so need to bulk up with layers underneath, much preferred to zip in linings though. Have done some big rides into western QLD in the heat, the ventilation is excellent with sleeves able to be opened right up and the vents on the chest amazingly effective. When a storm appears, just zip it all up. Pockets pretty good, mostly large and iPhone 8 fits nicely in large chest pocket. Garmin InReach Mini fits in little pocket on chest okay but quite tight. Overall a fantastic product, love it and very happy with purchase.
