The OS-BASE is an ‘over the seat harness’ which allows OS-6, OS-12 or OS-18 Adventure Packs to be mounted as soft panniers. No additional frames are required, this system provides a super-tough, lightweight carrying solution for the KTM 1050, 1090, 1190 & 1290 with no drilling or permanent bodywork alterations to the bike.
The modular design enables you to modify your luggage set-up to suit your ride – from a day’s single track to longer moto-camping adventure trips.
The KTM RACK LOOPS included, attach to the bike’s baggage carrier / rear rack and provide 4 optional hook-on points. Used in conjunction with the additional loops on the OS-BASE they provide various mounting points for a 3 or more bag set-up, or can be used to mount an OS-PACK as a stand alone tail pack without the OS-BASE.
The set length straps make mounting a breeze and the purpose designed main body shape provides a tight, secure fit with plenty of distance from the exhaust. It takes less than a minute to mount the system to the bike and just seconds to remove it.

Bodywork Damage Disclaimer
Even though most of the OS-BASE mounts on the seat, the sides can rub against the plastic side panels of the bike, resulting in minor abrasion. This can be further exaggerated if mud and dust get in between the OS-BASE and the plastics. We strongly recommend applying a clear adhesive protective sheet to where abrasion may occur on your motorcycle.

So easy to fit and removeBy: Casey on 14 January 2023These fit on so easily and allow the 18L OS bags to fit snugly on each side, no issues with clearance on the 1290 factory akro exhaust either, I just had to tuck one of the clips of the 18L bag under it’s tightening strap so it didn’t hang down and touch the top of the exhaust. I was pleasantly surprised how easy the base comes off too, just as quick as hard panniers. My OS base also came with the KTM specific rack loops to allow strapping the kriega 28-40L top bag as well (or other things). Word of warning the 28-40L bag doesn’t attach that nicely without having something inside it, I’ve got a picnic rug in there at the moment to give it some volume so it can be strapped down properly. Overall the quality of the whole kit is excellent and I couldn’t recommend it more if you don’t need the storage capacity of hard panniers.
